IoT applications and their supporting infrastructure must be secure in order to realize the promises of the Internet of Things in domains of high industrial and societal relevance such as healthcare, agriculture, aviation and aerospace, monitoring and process control in industrial settings. Promising solutions for IoT security are based on machine learning for attack detection and to launch mitigation. Due to the resource-constraints of the IoT devices themselves the machine learning mechanisms need to be on running smart gateways. 

The project pushes IoT security using Imsys novel energy-efficient AI accelerator architecture Alice. The objectives are to contribute to making IoT secure and to improving the inherent security characteristics of the Alice architecture.
